The Faster Timeline of Modular Carson Homes versus Site Built Homes
Can USModular really build my Carson Modular Home faster?
YES! Through our streamlined planning process, efficient manufacturing conditions, and ability to avoid setbacks caused by weather, we are able to build your new dream home in less than half of the time of traditional, on-site constructed homes without forgoing quality!
Streamlined Planning
USModular can complete your fully customized home faster because we ensure that all the steps that are required are finished before the home goes into production. The construction plans are designed and drafted, permits are in-hand, building materials are ordered and ready, and the crew is ready to begin work immediately. Since our prefabricated homes are not subjected to the extreme Carson heat, rain, and the elements, we can not only eliminate setbacks, but can prevent problems such as weather damages, warped wood, and mold during manufacturing!
What is the Expected Timeline for Modular Homes?
The amount of time to build a custom modular home will fluctuate greatly depending on the size and type of the modular new home built. Often times, the modular home manufacturing process can begin within around four to six months after the needed building permits are obtained. The typical modular new home can be completed within 21 to 30 days from the time the manufacturing permits were obtained.
Within 34 – 40 days of completion, the custom new home is transported to the building location. The prefabricated home is then set in to the pre-constructed foundation and is finished within 4 to 6 weeks from the shipping date. The entire modular home manufacturing process takes approximately 6 – 9 months, from start to finish.
What is the Normal Timeline for Site Built Homes?
Its nearly impossible to calculate an exact length of time for a site built home. So many setbacks and disruptions can occur caused by for many excuses, and these delays can cause a great amount of extensions in pre-planned timelines. A site built home may leave anxious buyers waiting 22 – 18 months for a second-rate project to be completed. This daunting timeframe can leave you with significantly higher costs you had not accounted for!
