The Faster Timeline of Modular Norwalk Homes versus Site Built Homes
Can USModular really build my Norwalk Modular Home faster?
YES! Through our streamlined planning process, contained manufacturing conditions, and ability to completely avoid holdups caused by weather, we can generally build your new dream home in about half the time of traditional, on-site constructed homes without forgoing quality!
Streamlined Planning
USModular can complete your fully customized home faster because we ensure that all the steps that are required are finished before the home goes into the production phase. The construction plans are designed and drafted, permits are in-hand, building materials are ordered and ready, and the builders is ready to begin work immediately. Since our modular homes are not exposed to the extreme Norwalk heat, rain, and the elements, we can not only eliminate holdups, but can prevent problems such as weather damages, warped wood, and mold during manufacturing!
What is the Expected Timeline for Modular Homes?
The timeline to build a new modular home will fluctuate greatly depending on the size and type of the modular new home built. Often times, the modular home manufacturing process can begin within around four to six months after the needed building permits are obtained. The normal modular new home is often finished within 21 to 30 days from the time the manufacturing permits were obtained.
Within 34 – 40 days of completion, the custom new home is transported to the building location. The modular home is then set in to the pre-constructed foundation and is finished within 4 to 6 weeks from the relocation time. The entire modular home manufacturing process takes anywhere from 6 – 9 months, from start to finish.
What is the Normal Timeline for Site Built Homes?
It is practically impossible to calculate an exact time for a site built home. So many holdups and disruptions can occur caused by for many excuses, and these delays can cause a great amount of extensions in pre-planned timelines. A site built home may leave eager clients waiting over a year and a half for a second-rate project to be completed. This dismaying timeframe can leave you with significantly higher charges you had not accounted for!
