The County of Los Angeles has asked the USModular team to develop a “Tiny Home Village” for infill lots in Los Angeles that meet local requirements.
The team including the architect firm of LA-MAS developed the concept to fit 3 Tiny Homes that are 350 sf, have 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath and are ADA compliant. Open space and parking requirements were also needed to fit all on a 5,000 sq ft lot.
We created 2 versions of homes, both using prefabricated construction and meeting Federal and Local building codes – for a middle lot and a corner lot.
Overall the concept is very cost effective with minimal disruption to the neighborhood during construction and installation of the homes.
The Tiny Home is built to Federal Code ( Manufactured) and the Prefabricated construction is built to Local Code (Modular). .
