The Challenge
These townhome buildings needed to be completely constructed, set, and ready for entry before the hotel could be opened.
Extreme snow loads of 235 lb/sf at the high elevation required special framing and structural connection details.
Large and complex building roof systems needed to be constructed. Winter weather and strong storms made traditional construction impossible.
The Solution
The project was built, shipped, and installed by November 2007 in this mountain community of Mammoth Lakes, California.
To avoid the pending winter storms, the buildings were delivered, set, and installed in a matter of days. The buildings were ready for sale by March 1.
Speed was a critical factor in the modular home project, and modular construction saved a remarkable amount of time and money!
